How to Boost Transfer Speed Of Your Pen drive

Many people use Pen drive to move our files. It is an great lightweight device which is easy to handle and you can use it from anyplace and it can be used in most of the devices. We loves it because we can carry 1000's of files in our pocket as today pen drive of 1000 GB is also available.

File Transfer Speed is important thing when using pen drives. It depends on the generation of your pen drive, older pen drives have slower transfer speed and the new 3.0 version has transfer speed of 5 Gbps but many people have 2.0 version. So you may noticed that speed of your pen drive has slowdown after some days usage. you have spend lots of time to send even small size  files. How to Boost Transfer Speed Of Your Pen drive:

First plug-in your pen drive and open My Computer. Then right click on the pen drive icon and click on format. Then select the NTFS File System and untick the quick format option and click on Format. It is good to change the file system From FAT32 to NTFS because FAT32 cannot control large amount of data.

Then right click on the pen drive icon and select properties. In properties window open Hardware tab. It will present a directory of all hard disk drives. Select your USB device from that list. After selecting your USB device click on properties as shown in the below image.

Now click on the General tab that appears in new window and click Change Settings.

In USB Device Properties click on Policies tab and choose Better performance for increasing you pendrives's speed. And click OK.

Note: After modifying device settings you have to disconnect your pen drive from computer by selecting "Safely Remove hardware and Eject Media" Option.
