Well my friends In this section, I will explain you that how you can send free text message using gmail so you need to follow below steps to use this feature of Gmail correctly. 

Enable Chat In Gmail For Your Account

Before sending free sms to any number, you need to enable this feature in your Gmail account, so follow below steps.

Step-1: Firstly login to your Gmail account.

Step-2: Then Click on ” Settings ” located at the top right corner of the screen.

Step-3: After landing on the settings page, Go to ” Labs ” Option.

Step-4: Now scroll down the page till ” SMS (text messaging) in Chat ” option.

Step-5: Enable this option from here and then simply click on ” Save changes ” to get the benefits of this feature.

Send Free SMS to Mobile Using Gmail

After enabling this feature, you need to save the mobile number of your friend in your gmail account either you have contacted to that friend before from Gmail or not.

Step-1: If you have already contacted to your friend from gmail before then you need to open a chat window to that person and you will also see the list of that contacted friends below the search box. Simply click on that name of your friend to open chat window for that friend.

Step-2: After opening the chat window, click on ” More ” then click on ” Send Text ( SMS ) ” to save the mobile number of your friend in order to send free text message to that friend using gmail.

Step-3: When you will click on that option then you will see a pop up where you have to save mobile number of your friend.

Step-4: Simply select your country and place the mobile number then click on save. When you have saved the mobile number then you can send text message on the mobile number of your friend from chat window which you have opened before. Simply type your message in chat window of that friend then that message will be deliver to the mobile number of your friend. 

If you have not contacted to your friend from Gmail before then you have to save the mobile number of that friend by following below steps.

Step-5: Simply type the name of your friend in search box and then click on ” Send SMS ”

Step-6: When you will do this then again the same pop up will open to save the mobile number of your friend with name of that friend. Simply save the mobile number.

After saving the number, a chat window will open for that friend where you can send sms to that friend and that sms will be deliver directly to the mobile of your friend. So enjoy
